As part of Kambi Group, esports data and odds provider Abios has released a new report on how esoccer can help operators acquire and retain customers during the Euros and Copa AmĂ©rica. The report includes trading insights and commentary from Kambiâs Head of Soccer, Jonathon Hurst, as well as player retention strategies that can help operators make the most of a football-filled summer.
Esports data and odds provider Abios, part of the Kambi Group, has launched an esoccer report filled with actionable insights ahead of this summerâs Euros and Copa AmĂ©rica tournaments. The report features tournament statistics, time-zone related betting patterns and expert commentary from Kambiâs Head of Soccer Jonathon Hurst on preparation for large-scale events, the importance of product consistency and why user retention matters.
The report, titled âEuros and Copa AmĂ©rica: How to maximise a summer of football with esoccerâ, highlights gaps in the summer football schedule and how they can be overcome. In delivering esoccer, Abios fills quieter periods in the football calendar for operators inside and outside of the Kambi network with high-quality content. Abiosâ quick-to-integrate esoccer solution features an odds feed, stats, and streams for 11,000 monthly events, ensuring consistent and engaging entertainment for players.
Abios launched its esoccer product in Q4 2023, quickly becoming one of the most bet on leagues throughout the Kambi network. In Q1 2024, esoccer generated approximately 40% of the revenue as the English Premier League and is on track to continue its growth in Q2. Having delivered strong growth alongside a busy domestic football season, Abios believes esoccer will be the perfect complement to summer international tournaments, where there are far fewer games taking place.
Anton Janér, Managing Director at Abios, comments:
âEsoccer has seen solid growth in many sportsbooks, consistently ranking among top leagues by number of bets on the Kambi network. Weâre excited to deliver insights into how operators can use esoccer to bolster their offering before, during and after major tournaments such as the Euros and Copa AmĂ©rica.
âBeing part of Kambi, weâre also able to share additional expertise, hopefully providing a guiding light to help operators in reaching their targets for the summer.â

Dutch online gambling operator iCasino has secured a licence from the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the Netherlandsâ gaming authority, making it the 29th legal operator in the country CasinoScout reports. The launch date for the new gambling site is still under wraps, with the website currently displaying a âWebpage Under Constructionâ placeholder.
iCasino BV, headquartered in the southern city of Maastricht, holds the new licence. At the helm of iCasino is Paul Strikers, a Dutch industry veteran who previously served as CEO of Novomatic Netherlands for seven years. Strikers has been with iCasino since July 2022, and after nearly two years, the company finally obtained its licence. Strikers refers to this process as a period of âdiligent effortâ.
To celebrate its new status as a licensed operator, iCasino released a video featuring the popular Random Runner Hold & Run game from Greentube, a fan favourite in the Netherlands. iCasino will be powered by the ORYX Gaming platform, a well-known player in the Dutch iGaming market with other brands exploited by JOI Gaming, Smart Gaming BV and Betent BV.
A similar offering is therefore expected from iCasino, including slots from providers such as Greentube, NetEnt, Red Tiger, and Play âN Go, as well as a live casino featuring games from Evolution.
In April 2024, the Gaming Authority announced three pending licence applications. The first licence was granted to Scori PRO on April 27, 2024, with the Fantasy Sports betting platform live since May 13. iCasino is the second provider to receive a licence this year, with the third applicant yet to be revealed. The Dutch iGaming landscape offers opportunities to both domestic and international operators to launch their gambling products.
