ESA Gaming, the innovative games provider, has signed a significant commercial deal with leading global online betting and gaming brand Betway, to bolster its reach across the African continent.

The agreement will see an initial tranche of top-performing content, including Mine and Crash games, go live across key targeted markets, such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, and Malawi.

The tie-up with the Super Group-owned brand has significantly boosted ESA Gaming’s footprint in Africa.

The continent has emerged as a key target for the provider, with its array of light-weight games proving extremely popular in markets where mobile connectivity speeds may vary wildly.

IESF African Regional Qualifiers Host Announced

The International Esports Federation (IESF) is thrilled to announce the hosting of the first-ever offline event in Morocco, the regional qualifiers for WEC24 in Casablanca from August 17 to 21. This event marks a significant step forward for eSports across the continent.

The regional qualifiers will begin with online qualifiers from June 10 to June 19 where 300+ athletes will participate. 180 of them will advance to the IESF African Esports Championship Casablanca 2024.

Featuring 47 countries competing across five game titles and seven categories, the regional qualifiers in Casablanca promise an unforgettable tournament experience. The eFootball series tournament will be a promotional event for IESF aspiring members. Athletes and teams from the continent will gather in Casablanca, competing for a chance to represent their countries at the highest level and secure their place in the WEC24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to lead the way and pioneer an offline eSports event in Africa,” the General Secretary for the IESF, Boban Totovski, said. “Casablanca’s hospitable reputation, rich culture and rising eSports community and the fanbase in Morocco make it the perfect host for this historic event. This tournament will display the unity and collaborative spirit among national federations and athletes across the continent.”

This event has already sparked excitement among the continent’s athletes and fans, who anticipate the impressive display of competition from each country during the qualifiers.
