TDT-Unibet to Launch New Identity for 2025 and Upgrades Main Title Sponsorship

After two very successful years for the TDT-Unibet ProTeam, the UCI ProTeam will continue as the Unibet Tietema Rockets. With Unibet stepping up as the first naming partner of the team in a new multi-year agreement with the team, the Unibet Tietema Rockets will become the first team in professional cycling with a franchise name. This development marks a huge step in the team’s ambitions towards its first Tour de France participation.
With a UCI Continental license in 2023 and a UCI ProTeam license in 2024, TDT-Unibet has developed itself from a new cycling team into a well established name in the pro cycling pyramid in no time. With its first wins under the belt and their huge WorldTour debut earlier this year in the Amstel Gold Race, the team has made a name for its colorful appearance, both on and off the bike.
In 2025, the team will introduce its Rockets identity and team name as part of its international expansion. The team’s ambition was always to create one of the biggest international cycling teams in the world and reach the Tour de France.
“To do so, we need to develop our riders’ level, attract more global partners and tell our story in the best way possible. Our goal is to be the best followable team for cycling fans around the world. With the new Rockets identity, we take a big step forward in creating a sustainable organization and hopefully accelerate our growth as a team,” team owner Bas Tietema said.
After two successful years as TDT-Unibet, Unibet will become the team’s first title sponsor for the coming years in a new global partnership. For 2025, the Unibet Tietema Rockets have applied to race on a French UCI ProTeam license.

The team has a huge potential and has already proven they are capable of developing very quickly. Scientific Games won a new, three-year contract extension from La Franҫaise des Jeux, a leading betting and gaming player worldwide. FDJ made its selection based on a competitive invitation to tender. The contract award extends a highly successful relationship that began in 1989. Most recently, FDJ and Scientific Games collaborated to develop and market the unique iDecide product, connecting the retail and digital lottery experience to increase player engagement.

International Game Technology PLC announced that its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, has signed a three-year contract with La Française des Jeux (FDJ), the operator of the French National Lottery, to deliver innovative instant ticket games. The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process, and reflects a longstanding partnership between IGT and FDJ, built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to global sustainability.
An important element in IGT securing the FDJ contract was IGT’s dedication to responsible business practices across its global operations which are in alignment with FDJ’s business goals and sustainability priorities. These practices include sourcing paper from FSC-certified suppliers, using non-toxic inks and coatings and implementing processes designed to reduce emissions, ensuring environmentally conscious production without compromising innovation or quality of the tickets.
“In renewing our instant ticket contract for the coming three years, we were extremely interested in securing a partner who understands our business ambitions and shares our commitment to social and environmental responsibility,” said Patrick Buffard, Chief French Lottery and Retail Sports Betting Business Unit Officer.

Under the terms of the agreement, FDJ will have access to IGT’s full suite of engaging instant ticket games, including its revolutionary Infinity Instants games, IGT’s digital instant ticket printing platform that provides unprecedented flexibility in the design, production and marketing of instant games. IGT and FDJ will continue providing innovative player experiences, supported by responsible and sustainable business practices.
In addition to supplying instant tickets, IGT has served as the primary lottery central system supplier to FDJ since 2000 and provides FDJ with its central system hardware, instant ticket vending machines and ongoing technology support and maintenance.
